Joanna Bradford

ADVISOR

Team Headshot Joanna Bradford.png

Joanna Bradford is a strategic and financial consultant with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations evaluate opportunities, solve complex business problems, and achieve profitable growth. Her expertise spans strategic planning, feasibility analysis, valuation, financial modeling, demand forecasting, competitive assessment, pricing strategy, capacity analysis, and revenue and profit optimization. She is especially skilled at translating detailed research and financial analysis into clear recommendations that enable senior leaders, investors, and operating teams to make confident decisions.
Joanna’s career has focused extensively on the travel, hospitality, and entertainment industries. Her experience includes theme parks and attractions, water parks, hotels and resorts, timeshare and fractional ownership, airlines and travel agencies, and retail, dining, and entertainment developments. This breadth gives her a comprehensive understanding of how individual business components interact to shape overall performance and the customer experience.

Joanna spent 15 years with The Walt Disney Company in leadership positions across new business development, strategic planning, and finance, leading feasibility analyses and valuations for major projects across many of Walt Disney World Resort’s lines of business. Her work helped decision-makers understand the potential demand, investment requirements, financial returns, strategic value, and risks associated with new concepts and capital initiatives.

Evaluating opportunities within an organization as complex as Disney required more than strong technical analysis. Joanna worked across multiple functions and business units, building relationships with creative, financial, operational, and executive stakeholders. She learned to navigate large organizational structures, reconcile different perspectives, test assumptions, and present sophisticated findings in a way that supported timely and practical decision-making.

Joanna also led long-term strategic planning for Disney’s Information Technology and Entertainment organizations. In those assignments, she helped leadership teams assess future needs, establish priorities, and align investments with broader business objectives. Her ability to combine quantitative rigor with strategic insight enabled her to address questions that did not have simple or predetermined answers.
After Disney, Joanna served as a Director with Integrated Insight, further developing her experience in analytics and strategic consulting. In 2012, she founded Bradford Consulting, helping companies evaluate new ventures, improve existing businesses, and increase profitability. Her services support the full decision-making process, from strategic assessment and market research through financial analysis and the development of presentations for senior management and investors.

Through Bradford Consulting and her work with The MagicMakers® Group, Joanna advises clients confronting a range of growth and performance challenges. She can help determine whether a proposed attraction, resort, or experience is financially viable; identify the factors limiting an established business; create decision-ready financial models; forecast demand; or evaluate competitive and market conditions. Her work gives clients a clearer view of both the opportunity ahead and the practical requirements for realizing it.
Joanna is known for approaching difficult problems with curiosity, discipline, and the conviction that complexity can be made manageable. She focuses on identifying the questions that matter most, gathering the right evidence, and developing solutions that are analytically sound and operationally realistic. Her goal is not simply to produce numbers, but to help leaders understand what those numbers mean and how they should influence action.

Joanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bucknell University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Her education and professional experience provide a strong foundation for helping organizations make sound investments, strengthen performance, and pursue sustainable growth.
