Renee martin
ADVISOR
Renee Martin is an industrial engineer, business strategist, and analytics professional with more than 25 years of experience solving complex operational problems. Her expertise includes project management, forecasting, workforce and workload analysis, process optimization, inventory planning, productivity improvement, and performance measurement. She combines analytical rigor with a practical understanding of operations, helping organizations convert data into decisions that improve efficiency, financial performance, and the customer and employee experience.
Renee began her career with The Walt Disney Company in Theme Parks and Resorts Labor Operations. As an analyst, she forecasted daily workload requirements and determined the staffing levels needed to support Disney’s operations. This work required her to balance business demand, labor resources, service expectations, and changing operating conditions. It gave her a strong foundation in understanding how workforce decisions influence both organizational performance and the guest experience.
Throughout her Disney career, Renee advanced into roles of increasing responsibility across Distribution Services, Workforce Management, Costuming, and Entertainment. Working across these different functions allowed her to see how people, processes, inventory, technology, facilities, and creative requirements connect within a large and highly complex organization.
Renee led high-profile process-improvement projects designed to transform operations and increase productivity. In Disney Costuming, she helped develop concepts to modernize the way costumes were distributed to Cast Members. This work involved examining existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, evaluating new operating approaches, and finding opportunities to reduce labor requirements without compromising service or the Cast experience.
She also oversaw the development and installation of costumes for Disney’s United States theme parks, Disney Cruise Line, and Shanghai Disneyland Resort. Coordinating these initiatives required detailed planning across creative, production, inventory, logistics, and operational teams. Each project had to deliver visually distinctive costumes while ensuring they could be manufactured, distributed, maintained, and used effectively in demanding operating environments.
Renee further strengthened Disney’s costuming supply chain by implementing an inventory-planning system that improved product availability while significantly reducing warehouse inventory. Her work demonstrated how disciplined forecasting and inventory analysis can simultaneously improve service levels, free working capital, and reduce operational waste.
Beyond costuming, Renee developed performance measures used to analyze and improve both the Costuming and Entertainment businesses. Creative operations can be difficult to measure because quality, employee needs, guest satisfaction, and financial considerations must all be balanced. Renee’s ability to establish meaningful metrics gave leaders better visibility into performance and supported more informed decisions about resources, priorities, and improvement opportunities.
Renee later joined Premier, Inc. as a Senior Consultant for Analytics. She supported hospitals across the United States in implementing labor-management software and identifying potential savings through benchmarking and productivity analysis. This work expanded her experience beyond themed entertainment and demonstrated the transferability of her skills to healthcare—another complex, labor-intensive environment in which staffing and operating decisions have significant human and financial consequences.
Today, Renee leads RM Strategy and Analytics and contributes her expertise through The MagicMakers® Group. She helps organizations clarify difficult questions, structure complex projects, analyze operating data, and design practical solutions. Her work can support forecasting, workforce planning, business strategy, process redesign, inventory optimization, project management, and the development of performance measures.
Renee holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for problem-solving. Rather than treating data as an end in itself, Renee uses it to illuminate opportunities, guide action, and help organizations build processes that work better for employees, customers, and the business.
